Cisco has changed the CCSP certification with major course updates as well as new course introductions. These revisions/introductions reflect a focus on `job role' objectives rather than `product features' as earlier certifications incorporated.
Cisco renews the complete Cisco Security Professional certification with the introduction of 4 new courses. A name change goes along with these course introductions: 'CCSP' is now named 'CCNP Security'.
Deploying Cisco ASA Firewall Features (FIREWALL)
The 5-day FIREWALL course and the VPN course together have replaced the SNAF and SNAA courses. With the introduction of the FIREWALL course the firewall topics from the SNAF and SNAA courses have now been combined in just one course.
Deploying Cisco ASA VPN Solutions (VPN)
The 5-day VPN course and the FIREWALL course together have replaced the SNAF and SNAA courses. With the introduction of the VPN course the VPN topics from the SNAF and SNAA courses have now been combined in just one course.
Implementing Cisco Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) v7.0
The 5-day IPSv7.0 course has replaced the 4-day IPSv6.0 course.
Securing Networks with Cisco Routers and Switches (SECURE)
The 5-day SECURE course has replaced the SNRS course. The new SECURE course aims at providing network security engineers with the knowledge and skills needed to secure networks, and provide security services based on Cisco IOS Software.
Both the CANAC and MARS courses remain unchanged.
