SMEs installed in the Brussels-Capital Region who call on an external body for a training course can obtain financial assistance (a 50% contribution) under the Brussels laws on financial assistance for companies.

The training provided by the external body must be exceptional or urgent in nature, and must aim to enhance performance or competitiveness. This does not include the usual, daily or recurrent management problems of the company. Training courses on basic knowledge linked to the company's activity are also excluded.

The number of training courses to which you can apply is limited to three per calendar year, and the entire training must cost no more than €5,000.

JCA meets the four conditions for external agencies, i.e.:

• to be independent from the company
• to be specialized in the subject concerned
• to have at least two years of professional experience
• to provide a list of references.
